What Our Policy Covers?

Last Updated: 19/03/2020

Expacare is continuously monitoring the current coronavirus outbreak that is happening worldwide. From the Expacare Team, we would like to make you aware and give you an outline on what our health insurance policy covers during this time.

The below information is accurate as at 19/03/20 and we will continue to update this with any new statements or developments.

  • There is no pandemic exclusion on our policies.
  • Tests for COVID-19 will be covered only if a member is symptomatic, the test is available and if the test has been ordered by a doctor.
  • In-patient treatment in an isolation ward will be covered if available.

Cover for COVID 19 is no different to cover for any other eligible medical condition in that any restrictions to the movement of people or availability of tests/treatment in a member’s location may mean we cannot guarantee medical support or medical evacuation.

Fundamentally the condition is covered subject to the terms, conditions and benefit limits of the policy.

Members should follow the government guidelines in their country of residence, keep safe, and contact us if they have any queries.
